Meet the creative team!

Callie Perrone

Writer & Creator

Callie Perrone has no musical background or theater experience (so good thing Karina and Erin are on board!). She didn’t make the cut for the middle school play, and never auditioned for anything again. Instead, this former AP Government student was driven to write William Henry Harrison: The Musical out of a long-held interest in U.S. history and politics, a love for fun facts and pub trivia, and a little too much time on her hands while stuck at home with COVID one Thanksgiving (followed by 3 years of meticulous writing). With the help of this amazing team, Callie is excited to make this not-so-trivial pursuit a reality!

Karina Wiener

Director & Producer (We Do, LLC)

Karina Wiener was forced onto the stage at a very young age in order to straighten out her pigeon toes and learn to project her tiny voice. After years of performing, she started assistant directing and stage managing in high school, then choreographing and directing in college, and seems to be called back to the theater every few years (or when she questions the purpose of life too hard). Karina has had the opportunity to assistant direct and stage manage with the Curio Theatre Company (2016) and Magic Circle Musicals (2018) in Philadelphia, and Ghost Light Theatricals in Seattle. Karina’s directing credits include Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Full Circle Theater, 2011) and Spring Awakening (Greasepaint Productions at Haverford College, 2015). Karina enjoys bringing shows to life based on the unique strengths and talents of the assembled cast and crew members. Karina is thrilled to be reunited with Erin Berlew, without whom there would be no music or organization, and excited to collaborate with our debut playwright Callie Perrone! And thank you to Haverford College for bringing these alumni together despite not having a theater department.

Erin Berlew

Music Director & Producer (We Do, LLC)

Erin Berlew can recite the scores to several musicals from memory and has loved the piano, musicals, and theater from a very young age. Her theater experience includes playing Thea in Spring Awakening (Greasepaint Productions at Haverford College, 2015), assistant music direction for Edges and production for the Small Musicals Festival (Magic Circle Musicals, 2018). She enjoys the internal structure that music gives musicals, allowing audiences to connect with stories in a manner unique to the medium. She is beyond excited to work with Callie and Karina, friends for over a decade, to bring this historical trip of a musical to life. Haverford forever!
